Super Voice Mode
Privacy Policy · Last updated April 2026
The short version
Super Voice Mode processes all audio and text locally on your Mac. Nothing is sent to any server. We don't collect telemetry, usage data, or analytics. We don't have accounts. We don't track you. By the ancient texts, your data is yours alone.
The app
- All speech-to-text processing runs on-device using CoreML models.
- All LLM correction runs on-device using local models.
- Audio is captured from your microphone, processed in memory, and discarded. It is never written to disk or transmitted.
- Transcription history is stored locally at
~/.config/voice-mode/. It never leaves your machine. - Settings and configuration are stored locally. No cloud sync.
- The app does not contain analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry of any kind.
Voice assistant (optional)
If you enable the voice assistant feature with an external backend (Claude, Codex, or Ollama), your transcribed text is sent to that service according to its own privacy policy. This is opt-in and clearly indicated in settings. The local LLM assistant backend sends nothing externally.
Auto-updates
Super Voice Mode uses Sparkle for update checks. When checking for updates, Sparkle contacts our update server to compare version numbers. No personal data is transmitted. You can disable update checks in the app.
This website
- This website uses no cookies.
- This website runs no JavaScript.
- We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It collects aggregate, anonymous data only — page views, referrers, country (from edge server, not IP), browser, and device type. No cookies, no IP addresses, no personal identifiers. We cannae tell who you are, and that's the way we like it.
Payments
Payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details. The payment provider's privacy policy governs that transaction. We receive your email address and license key for the purpose of license activation and support.
License activation
When you activate a license, the app sends your license key and a hashed machine identifier to validate the license. The machine identifier is a one-way hash — it does not compute to anything that could identify your hardware. No other data is sent.
Data we store
For paying customers, we store:
- Email address (for license delivery and support).
- License key and activation status.
- Hashed machine identifier (for device limits).
That's it. We don't store names, addresses, usage data, audio, transcriptions, or anything else. Shiver me timbers, that's a short list.
Third parties
We do not sell, share, or provide your data to third parties. No cap, that's bussin. The only external services involved are:
- Our payment provider (for transactions).
- Sparkle update server (for version checks).
Your rights
You can request deletion of your data (email and license records) at any time by contacting us. Peace, love, and understanding — we'll sort it out. Since the app stores everything locally, uninstalling it and deleting ~/.config/voice-mode/ removes all local data.
